A jewel in the heart of Lincoln's Cathedral Quarter

This 1930's Art Deco building has been completely refurbished to very high standards. Located in the Cathedral quarter, Charlotte House resides directly opposite Lincoln Castle and Cathedral. The accommodation, set over the first... More About Charlotte House and second floors, comprises fourteen luxury en-suite rooms, with no expense spared. Eight are traditional with quality furnishings and six are contemporary rooms with large leather headboards. Large plasma TV's and CD players are in every room and all have top notch bathrooms with underfloor heating, pedestal-free Italian basins and great power showers. Broadband connection and Wi-Fi are free of charge, as is Freeview with over 80 channels. The ground floor offers an impressive south facing lounge with comfy leather sofas. The large period bar is a real head turner, stocked with all your favourite tipples. When it is time to dine, you should visit their Castlegate Restaurant, which is a fine dining restaurant a few steps away, directly beneath the West Gate of Lincoln Castle. The Head Chef is organic crazy and that's evident when you taste his brigade's food. Quite delicious Diver caught sea scallops, free range pork cooked three ways, five flavoured monkfish, shellfish tortellini, to mention just a few dishes. Try his lavender ice cream with dark and milk chocolate delice - yummy. Breakfast is stunning too, starting with freshly squeezed juices, and followed by local yoghurts, fresh fruits, and eggs any way you want them. The kippers are always fresh and if you're in a rush, they will even make you up a bacon roll or two. This part of Lincoln is what this city is all about and what a place to base yourself, whether on business or outright pleasure. Ample parking.
